My name is Fred Grant and I live and work in Houlton, Maine with my wife and three children. Both my wife and I grew up in the Houlton area and were fortunate enough to move back home to be close to family and friends.

I worked for 12 years in Higher Education, most recently serving as the Director of Campus Life at Babson College. I loved working at colleges; however, I enjoy working for myself even more. I started a business several years ago called CollegeHelpers.com and I’m pleased to say that the company has grown steadily every year. In October of 05 I left my post at Babson to run CollegeHelpers.com full-time and to make my living on the internet.

Why do I build websites? The simple truth is that I love it! While CollegeHelpers.com keeps me very busy I noticed that there was a need in Maine for quality web design. It’s one thing to have a website that looks nice, but an entirely different thing to have a site that generates visitors and actually works the way it is supposed to. I take the needs of each website into consideration and design the site to address those needs head-on, providing the best results possible.
